How we review Telegram bots and channels
Last updated
Every bot and channel on Hornygram was opened and tested by us before it was listed. This page explains what we test, what goes into a review, how entries are kept current and what money can and cannot change.
What we do before a listing goes live
- We open the bot or channel in Telegram ourselves, from an ordinary account, the way you would.
- For a bot, we press Start, go through the menus, use whatever is free and note where the paywall begins and what it costs.
- For a channel, we scroll the feed, look at what is actually posted and how often, and check whether the posts are free or lead to paid content.
- The screenshots on a listing are ours, taken while testing.
Only then is the review written. It is our account of what we found, not a description supplied by the owner, and an owner has no say over what it says.
What a review covers
- What you get: what happens after Start in a bot, what fills the feed of a channel.
- What is free and what is paid, with prices and the month they were checked.
- How often a channel posts, and whether it is still active.
- Who it suits and who should skip it, with a link to a better fit where we know one.
- Green flags and red flags, and the questions people usually ask.
Prices in a review end with "Prices as of" and the month, because in this niche they change often. When we notice a change, the review is updated and the Updated date on the listing moves with it.
What we do not list
Material involving minors and intimate material published without the consent of the people in it are never listed, and an entry found to contain either is taken down at once. A bot or channel that does not open when we test it is not listed either.
How we keep links working
After publication we re-check every listing against its public Telegram page every 3–5 days. One failed check changes nothing: the page is checked again at least 12 hours later, and only a second failure marks the listing as not found.
A listing that is not found loses its Open in Telegram button, drops out of the catalogue and asks search engines not to index it. Its page stays up, so an old link still explains what happened, and it is checked again every 1–2 days in case it comes back.
The Status line on each listing shows when the link was last confirmed. In search results we call a link "working" only if Telegram confirmed it within the last 14 days.
The number of subscribers, members or monthly users shown on a listing is the figure Telegram displayed on its public page at the last successful check.
How the catalogue is ordered
- By visitor votes and nothing else: no editorial scores, no star ratings, no formula.
- One browser gets one vote per listing, and there is no way to vote against anything.
- Votes that come from automation are removed, and the order changes with them.
- No one can pay for a higher position, and there are no pinned or sponsored places in the rankings.
- The Recently added lists are ordered by date, newest first.
Paid submissions
Owners can submit a bot or channel for review. Submission is paid, but the payment buys a review, not a publication: the entry goes through the same test as everything else, we write the review ourselves, and an entry we turn down is not listed.
A paid entry gets no better position and no say over its review. It is listed because it passed the test, not because it was paid for.
Referral links
Some links to bots and channels carry a referral tag, and we may be paid when you use them. It costs you nothing and it changes nothing about what is written in the review.
Every outgoing button goes through our own redirect so that clicks can be counted, and every one is marked as sponsored for search engines. Whether a link carries a referral tag has no effect on the review or on the order.
Corrections and reports
Each listing shows when it was added and when its review was last updated. If something on a page is wrong — a price, a dead link, content that should not be here — use Report on the listing or write to support@hornygram.com. Reports about minors or non-consensual material are handled first.
